A Heart of Valor | Finishing Strong

We are so excited to launch our new series, “Life on Mission”. Craig Smith, our lead pastor, has charged the staff and congregation alike to live life on Mission with Jesus. It’s what we’re called to do! So, throughout the life of Anchor + Waves, we will be bringing you missional stories from our short term trips, our local partners, and our global partners alike! We will be focusing on what it truly means to serve, as He’s called us to do. In our kick-off episode here, we will be speaking with Jacque Carlson, Emerald Holden, and Karissa Kellerstrass about their recent trip to Colombia.

Conversations About Race | Ep.101 w/ Sandra + Michael Winfrey

Welcome to Conversations About Race, a (sometimes awkward) conversation about race, what the Bible says about it, and how we can respond. If you do not already know this wonderful Mission Hills couple, we can’t wait for you to meet Sandra and Michael Winfrey. They are kind. They are authentic. They love the Lord. And they have a heart to be on mission with Jesus. The next 60 minutes will give you a unique perspective of parenting kids, serving a community, and doing life as a family of color in a white suburban community and church. The Winfreys will share vulnerably and encourage all of us to get involved in this conversation.

Waking Up to a New Reality

Imagine waking up. But rather than your typical experience of slowly opening your eyes as you gradually wake up, imagine that you are jarred awake suddenly.

You sense a queasiness in your stomach as you realize that your bed is swaying. Disoriented, you realize that books and pictures are unexpectedly falling from shelves. You hear glass shattering and a low, unrecognizable rumble, but you can’t quite identify the source. As a racing heartbeat quickly replaces the fog of sleep, you realize that you are in the midst of an earthquake.

Welcome to Our Fall 2021 Study

Join us this season as we dive deep into the five shortest books of the Bible: Jude, Obadiah, Philemon, 2 John, 3 John. We are going to spend two episodes on each of these short books. Kelly and Kristy will be alternating joining the conversation each episode. Each episode will focus on a different tip or strategy for studying and interpreting the Bible. We’ll start with the longest book on this list (Jude at 461 words) and work our way down to the shortest (3 John at 219 words) so we can show you how rich your study of God’s word can be when you dive deep into a short book!

Week 10 | Hebrews 12 & 13

We are in the final chapters of Hebrews where the author is calling these Hebrew Christians to faith and endurance by building on the great cloud of witnesses from Hebrews 11 and reminding them of their God who was faithful to them. In chapter 12, we see the push towards endurance in daily living until the Lord ushers in his completed kingdom someday. In chapter 13, we wrap up with concluding exhortations and remarks for this audience and we hone in on how they apply to us today.

Hey fellas, welcome back to an amazing episode of Uncharted. So amazing, we saved it for Christmas Eve 2020 for you, as a little present. Today, in the studio, we have the one and only Jerry Schemmel with us and we couldn’t be more excited. Jerry is an incredible talent who, if you’re from Colorado and love sports, could be the voice of your favorite teams; he’s done play-by-play work for both the Colorado Rockies and the Denver Nuggets! But more importantly, Jerry is an incredible human being with a heart for the lord. Listen in today as Justin and Danny talk to Jerry about stories of encouragement, triumph, and what it looks like to lead with a Christ-centered heart. And stick around for the end of the episode as we tackle another fun Rushmore segment with special guest Steve McFarland (Colin’s dad) as he, Colin, and Danny go through their top 4 Drama Sports Movies. Ep. 6 | Mike Romberger and Unlocking Passion

Glad to have you back on the Clarify podcast for our sixth episode. We try and get these out on the second Monday of the month, but sometimes ministry happens. More Than Fire Insurance

What Is Worship, Really?

Ever felt disconnected, disassociated, dysfunctional, disjoined, disapproved, distant, disappointed…just straight up dissed? God doesn’t disconnect from people, so we know the problem isn’t God. In fact, he designed a model for us to be a part of that is imperative to who we are as Christians. It’s called the church body. And weekly worship is an important way that as the body, we can connect.
